Company Overview
HSM Contracting is Adam and Donna Griffin’s enterprise to provide the type of quality civil infrastructure and construction services that delivers projects that are built to last.
Now with three locations (Yeppoon, Moranbah and Emerald), HSM Contracting specialises in high-quality project management of civil projects, including transport, crushing equipment and logistics, with fleet and labour hire as required. We are proud to employ an experienced, professional team that understands the importance of safety, reliability and efficiency.
How we work
Our permanent workforce of more than 30 people (and growing) includes professionally qualified project managers, site supervisors, construction and plant and equipment managers, project engineers and surveyors, administrators, mechanics and fitters, labourers, drivers and operators.
HSM is a primary provider of project services. We use a scalable approach with our wide network of prequalified, top-of-the-line subcontractors and specialists, when required, to augment resources for tight deadlines or to contribute significantly to large-scale pivotal projects.
HSM ensures that all subcontractors employed adhere to strict compliance measures and have been thoroughly evaluated to guarantee that their contributions align with our stringent HSM quality standards.

Adam Griffin
Owner
Adam Griffin is the owner of HSM Contracting, where he adopts a hands-on approach to ensure complete client satisfaction. With three decades of extensive experience in civil infrastructure construction across the mining, residential and agricultural sectors, Adam has positioned HSM Contracting as a leader in the industry.
Recognizing a niche in delivering complex, labour-intensive elements of civil and agricultural construction, Adam founded HSM Contracting, which has since earned a reputation for its unwavering commitment to safety, integrity, quality, and innovation.
With strong leadership skills, Adam oversees the execution of all projects, tendering processes, and overall business operations. His fine-tuned skills and innovative problem-solving abilities enable him to navigate and successfully deliver projects in even the most challenging circumstances.
Donna Griffin
Owner
As the co-owner of HSM Contracting alongside her husband Adam Griffin, Donna is responsible for overseeing financial management, human resources, and compliance within our dynamic business. Together, they are committed to delivering exceptional services in the civil infrastructure and agricultural sectors.
Donna also brings many years of experience in management in the Queensland VET sector. She has achieved targeted projects in training, compliance, and strategic alignment and has dealt with external stakeholders in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of procurement and contract management activities. Her knowledge adds to the depth of HSM’s quality management systems, contributing to peace of mind for all HSM clients.
Carrie Wilson
Payroll & Compliance
Carrie Wilson is HSMs Payroll and Compliance Administrator. Carrie’s the go-to person for any finance-related issues, as she capably manages almost all aspects of accounting and compliance. It’s a busy and varied role that Carrie manages from home, fitting in a beach walk with her dog as often as possible.
Carrie appreciates the great culture at HSM and thoroughly enjoys the challenges and opportunities that come her way.
