HSM Contracting has been engaged to undertake the bulk earthworks package for the new Marina Breeze residential estate development. The works are being delivered in accordance with the Capricorn Municipal Development Guidelines (CMDG C213) to achieve compliant and durable subgrade conditions for future civil infrastructure and residential lot construction.
The scope includes the removal of topsoil, cut and fill operations, construction of embankments, and site regrading to specified design levels and tolerances. All unsuitable materials are being identified, removed, and replaced to ensure foundation stability and embankment integrity across the site.
Key components of the works include:
- Construction of bulk earthworks for road corridors, building pads, and open space areas.
- Formation of embankments and cut batters to design specifications, with quality control testing undertaken to CMDG standards.
- Installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Compaction and placement of fill materials to meet specified moisture and density requirements, verified through field testing.
- Stockpiling and reuse of suitable site-won materials to optimise efficiency and sustainability outcomes for the development.
The project will deliver a stabilised, engineered platform ready for subsequent civil and utility works, ensuring the long-term performance of road pavements and residential lots.
